Portascanner® WATERTIGHT PLUS
Portascanner® WATERTIGHT PLUS is a handheld watertight integrity tester for inspecting the watertightness and weathertightness of ship’s hatches, bulkhead doors, cable, and pipe penetrations through bulkheads and more. It is a portable, handheld solution which can be used by a single operator to test a large number of different hatches and seals in one quick and easy inspection.
Portascanner® WATERTIGHT PLUS’ ABS Type Approval and RINA Classification Society Acceptance establish it as an industry-approved solution to watertight integrity testing and regulatory compliance.
Conventional tests to meet this regulation like the Chalk test and Hose test are inferior to the quick and clean testing process which Portascanner® WATERTIGHT PLUS offers. These processes require multiple operators, take longer, and in the case of the hose test, can take time to clean up.
Portascanner® WATERTIGHT PLUS is used by a single operator to detect leaks in the hatch or structure, and it can give an exact value of the severity of the leak. This allows regular periodic inspections to be conducted faster.

Portasteele® CALCULATOR
The Portasteele® CALCULATOR is the perfect partner to Coltraco Ultrasonics’ liquid level detectors. It allows the user to convert measured liquid levels to an agent weight, precisely and accurately. These readings can then be saved and exported for future reference and traceability.
Using dimensional data about the cylinder and the liquid level found with a Portalevel® unit, the Portasteele® CALCULATOR can precisely calculate the agent weight. The Portasteele® CALCULATOR automatically handles the effect of temperature in its calculations and allows the user to reliably calculate the mass of agent in cylinders to within 1% of the true value. This allows liquid level measurements to be compared directly to the fill weight printed on the cylinder, providing unparalleled traceability to the liquid level measurements.

Portagauge® 6
The Portagauge® 6 is a multiple echo ultrasonic thickness gauge for measuring the thicknesses of various metals and rigid plastics, which ignores any coating up to 20mm in thickness. It has a built-in datalogger to store up to 200,000 thickness measurements and has a minimum allowable thickness alarm functionality.
Portagauge® 6 has a built-in database of 14+ different materials containing speed of sound data and an option to enter custom materials. Measurement units available in both metric (millimetres) and imperial (inches).
Portable Ultrasonic Flow Meter
Portasonic® PLUS
Portasonic® PLUS is a portable ultrasonic transit-time flow meter designed to measure, internally record, and export the flow rate within a pipe with precision and ease. Portasonic® PLUS provides measurements to within ±0.5% of the true flow rate.
Portasonic® PLUS uses a customisable pre-programmed database to allow it to work with a wide variety of pipe materials and liquid types as a highly versatile monitoring solution that can be adapted for specific applications.
Portasonic® PLUS can portray flow rate in one of three ways to optimise data utility:
- Volumetric Flow Rate: In litres per minute or gallons per minute, the volume of liquid transferred within a pipe.
- Mass Flow Rate: In kilograms per minute or lbs per minute, the mass of liquid transferred within a pipe, calculated by the device using density and flow rate.
- Heat/Energy Flow Rate: In kilowatts per hour or British Thermal Units (BTU) per second, the amount of thermal energy transferred by a pipe’s contents.
