Explosive Ordnance Disposal – EOD
Explosive Ordnance Disposal
Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) refers to the detection, identification, evaluation, rendering safe, recovery, and disposal of explosive threats, including unexploded ordnance (UXO), improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and other hazardous materials. These operations are critical to military, law enforcement, and security personnel operating in high-risk environments.
Deltic supports these professionals by supplying a comprehensive range of field-proven EOD equipment, including bomb disposal robots, disruptors, search kits, portable X-Ray equipment and other tools—ensuring safety, precision, and mission success in demanding operational scenarios.
EOD Products
Features & Options
All EOD products come with several features and options, too many to list. Please feel free to contact us to learn about equipment that meets your specifications.
Let’s talk about options.
User Filled Charges
Deltic’s partner, Alford Technologies, has developed a well-proven range of versatile modular water-tamped charges, which are used worldwide to counter small and vehicle-borne improvised explosive threats. The products provide a scalable set of tools for use in a range of threat scenarios.
Alford’s cylindrical shaped charges and cutting charges are used for the controlled deflagration of unexploded ordnance, and demolition tasks, both land-based and maritime-based.
Breaching Systems
In critical, time-sensitive situations where every second matters, breaching and explosive methods of entry (EMoE) are essential tactics for military and law enforcement teams. These techniques require a balance of precision, skill, and safety to ensure operational success while minimizing risks to all parties involved. Deltic’s partner, Alford Technologies, offers a range of explosive breaching products to provide speedy and safe access through all types of physical barriers and obstructions, including doorways, brick and concrete structures, and even steel bars.
X-Ray Systems
DR (Digital Radiography) Portable X-Ray systems use electronic plates linked by cable or Wi-Fi to an X-Ray generator and laptop/tablet, and can be set up in minutes. The generator is fired remotely, and images transmit back to the laptop/tablet within seconds.
The Scansilc DR X-Ray systems from Deltic’s partner, Scanna MSC, are hardened against knocks, drops, dirt, and water. Imager sizes range from a tactical 4in x 6in (10cm x 15cm) panel to a large 34in x 34in (86cm x 86cm) panel, with several models in between.
Wired and Wireless Initiators
Deltic offers high-energy initiators (blasting machines or exploders) for firing explosive charges, cartridge disruptors, and pyrotechnic devices via wire or shock tube. Options include handheld battery-powered electric or shock tube initiators and programmable timed fuses for leave-in-place use.
Remote initiation systems let EOD teams neutralize IEDs or UXO from distances of 1,000 m to 20 km, avoiding the need to lay and retrieve firing cable.
All equipment is safety-assessed and proven in service with security forces worldwide.
Barrel Disruptors
Deltic supplies recoilless and recoiling barrel disruptors from partner ABP Technologies for rendering safe small IEDs and hardened targets needing greater penetration. Accessories can convert them into slug or blade-firing de-armers. All models undergo extensive trials on representative targets and sensitive explosives to ensure consistent performance, minimal collateral damage, and maximum operator safety. These multi-shot disruptors require minimal maintenance and can be used for training without affecting service performance.
Hook and Line and Search Tools
Search operations require specialist equipment to access and inspect vehicles, buildings, and other areas for contraband or suspect devices. Deltic offers search tools including mirrors, metal detectors, and hook-and-line systems. Hook and Line, used by EOD and high-threat search teams, is a semi-remote method for moving suspect devices or gaining access to vehicles and buildings with a pulling line and purpose-built tools. Lightweight and non-powered, it is quick to deploy and available in compact tactical or advanced kits.
