WD4 Cable Detector

A portable, battery powered detector for locating
laid and buried command wire cables up to 0.5M depth. The detector is
used at walking pace and the presence of a cable is indicated by a
strong audible tone which rises in frequency as the target is
approached. Under general search conditions the sensor adjusts
automatically to maintain maximum sensitivity and the system is largely
insensitive to metal objects. Features include automatic zeroing and low battery power audio alarm. An earpiece may also be fitted. The complete system, which is easily carried and deployed by one man, comprised probe and control unit with battery compartment and loud speaker, should strap, earpiece assembly, soft carrying case, spare battery carrier transit tube and transit case. |
